Hello and welcome to the Kyoti Sims3 Legacy. I’m Rad, or Rad6380 on the EAxis TS3 boards.
As you can see, I’m quite far into the legacy now and I know that can feel intimidating to new readers, but hopefully it should be easy enough to start from the beginning. To follow the adventures in chronological order, click on the links below and following the arrows at the top right of each post to get to the next chapter. I’ve been updating a lot lately but things will slow down in September (I work in education).
By the way, for lovers of walls-up shots, they start appearing around gen 5 – it hadn’t occurred to me before, but you’re right, walls-up shots do look better.
I’ve stuck to the rules laid down by Pinstar on the Sims3 forums, using normal lifespan and so on. I have added in the family trait rule (where one trait carries through the family). I decided to do this by making it the first of my founder’s traits that the heir rolled – this was ‘lucky’ and is the only trait I’ve ‘forced’ on the sims as they age. I decided the eldest child will always be the heir in this legacy, but where there are twins or triplets, the heir will be decided by the first of them to have a child of their own.
The plot is pretty much dictated by the game play (the way characters behave in game, their traits, the opportunities they get and so on) so, although I embellish the finer details a little like most legacy writers, essentially what you see here is what happened.
By the way, I also have an Apocalypse Legacy on the go and have a blog for that, which I tend to update about once a week: The Lazarus Dispatches

Kan du lägga upp filmer på hela legacyn på youtube?
No, I don’t usually take videos of my game, sorry.
Hey Rad!
I’m starting a legacy too: http://www.abbottlegacy.wordpress.com
Would you mind linking it? I’ll link yours too because I LOVE your legacy!!
Thanks,
Kay x
I link over at http://radsims.wordpress.com – I usually add blogs when they’ve got a few entries under their belt so I’ll keep an eye out.
Thanks! I’m up to Chapter Five and hopefully will have them coming pretty quickly since I’ve been playing the game a lot more han I’ve been posting- I’m a good 10 chapters worth of pictures into it and need to even things out.
If you can check it out I’d be super grateful!!
I love your blog so much, It’s inspired me to do my own sims3 Legacy challenge, I really want to be able to document it in a blogg like you have, but I’m so clueless to how you work this site, could someone Please help me? I’ll even name my Sim after you
Thank you xx
It’s kind of difficult to explain everything from scratch – if you sign up with WordPress (or another blogging platform of your choice) they should offer a getting started tutorial. The thing to know is that not all templates work the same way and you might want to try a few out until you find one that fits. I could maybe help with a more specific query, but the WP forums will probably give you better advice…
Glad you liked the legacy
You inspired me to try a legacy… After a few false starts, I started the Hamilton Legacy: http://ts3stories.wordpress.com/
I don’t know if I’ll last as long as you did, but I’d love to be as good a storyteller as you!
Thank you – best of luck!!
